NON-COMPETING CONTINUATION
for
MINORITY SUPPLEMENTS TO
NCI CANCER CENTER (P30) FOR MINORITY HIGH SCHOOL AND UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCH EXPERIENCES

 

PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING FORMAT FOR REPORTING THE PROGRESS ON THE MINORITY SUPPLEMENT
"P30 CURE"
INCLUDE WITH AND CLEARLY IDENTIFY IN THE
NON-COMPETING REPORT OF THE PARENT GRANT

 

  • A general statement (not to exceed 2 pages) about the status of the minority program, what it has been able to accomplish, and improvements that are planned based on past experience.
  • A list of all the students, past and present, placed in the program during the supplement period. The list should include the student's name, home address, high school or college attended, race/ethnicity, gender and start and end dates of period of support.
  • A brief description of each student's specific research experience, the title of the research grant project that the student worked under, the grant number and name of the principal investigator of the grant.
  • Full transcripts of each supported student in the initial year they are supported; updates of transcripts for successive years.
  • Plans for assigning students to research projects and mentors during the coming year. If possible, specify titles of the research projects they will be working on and the name of the investigator/mentor.
  • Completed budget page.

FINAL REPORT

At the end of the project period, the final list should include all past and present students with the above information and where each student is presently located (high school, college, graduate school, etc.), home addresses, telephone numbers, and whether they are currently supported by a research supplement, or other Federal support mechanism.

Summary of the plans for establishing a simple tracking system for each student that will provide tracking for up to five years after the student left the program. The tracking system should include for each student, their name, home address, high school or college, information on race/ethnicity, research experience in the center, research group in the center, and the time periods supported.
